Architect's Roundtable 2025

  • 3615 West Douglas Boulevard Chicago, IL, 60623 United States (map)

Meet our architectural design teams for the 2025 Chicago Sukkah Design Festival and learn more about how they approach the community-driven, participatory design process during this panel discussion. 2025 Design Contributors include Gideon Schwartzman & Hugh Swiatek, Resolver Studio, Alina Nazmeeva & John Wagner, Team NMNO (Kim Ayala Najera, Adel Machacca, Aaron Neal, and Uthman Olowa), and Mobile Makers Chicago. This panel is moderated by architect, educator, and founder of Architecture for Public Benefit, Chana Haouzi.

**IN THE EVENT OF RAIN: Please head to nearby Stone Temple Baptist Church (3622 W Douglas Blvd, Chicago, IL). While the address and front of the building faces Douglas Blvd, please use the side entrance on Millard Ave. We will meet in the church’s dining room.

We will try to keep the program outside if possible—please dress appropriately for the outdoors in Chicago.

Afterwards, extend your architectural experience of North Lawndale by participating in one of the building or garden tours that are part of Open House Chicago, the Chicago Architecture Center’s free annual event that provides behind-the-scenes access to architecturally, historically, and culturally significant sites. Stone Temple Baptist Church is one of the Open House Chicago sites, and will hold guided tours of the building (originally the First Roumanian Congregation synagogue) every half hour from 1:00–5:00 p.m.

This is partner program with Open House Chicago, a program of the Chicago Architecture Center, and a partner program of the Chicago Architecture Biennial.

No RSVP Required.
